ExpressMe is ready to use out of the box. Simply launch the app and start tapping symbols to build sentences. Press Speak to hear your message aloud.

How do I set up the admin password?
On first launch, tap the Vocabulary tab. You will be prompted to create an admin password. This password protects all settings and vocabulary editing features.
How do I customize cards?
After upgrading to Pro, authenticate with your admin password on the Vocabulary tab, then tap any symbol to edit it, or tap the + button to create a new card with a photo or emoji.
How do I change the card size?
Go to Vocabulary tab → authenticate → tap the gear icon → Card Size. Choose from Small, Normal, Large, or Extra Large.
How do I change the swipe animation?
Go to Settings (gear icon) → Swipe Transition. Choose between Instant, Slide, or 3D Cube.
How do I lock the device into ExpressMe?
Go to Settings → Guided Access Setup for step-by-step instructions on enabling iOS Guided Access, which prevents the user from exiting the app.
Does ExpressMe require an internet connection?
No. ExpressMe works entirely offline. All data is stored on the device and speech synthesis uses the built-in iOS text-to-speech engine.
How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?
Go to Settings (gear icon) → scroll to the About section → tap Restore Purchases. Sign in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
I forgot my admin password. What do I do?
Delete and reinstall the app from the App Store. This will reset all data including the admin password. If you purchased Pro, use Restore Purchases to unlock it again.
